Serving 500+ Marlo's Matcha Lattes with Adobe

In collaboration with Adobe UK, we had the chance to serve our matcha at the Adobe Creator Live event in London—a full circle moment that honestly felt surreal.

Marlo's Matcha was born from our love of matcha and design, so seeing both worlds come together in one space, alongside Adobe (the tool I use every single day), truly meant everything. We were also invited to create swag items such as tumblers, notebooks, co-branded Adobe × Marlo matcha tins, and stickers and more. A dream we didn't even know we had until it happened.

Two Months of Prep (and Panic)

These events never start on the day itself. They start months before, with planning, organising, designing, and way too many calls between London and Tokyo.

This was the biggest event we'd ever done. 500+ people. And we'd never served matcha at this scale before.

We tested our recipe over and over to make sure it could hold up under pressure. We sourced equipment, re-labeled hundreds of co-branded tins, and coordinated logistics across two countries. My sister Freya was flying in from Tokyo to help run the bar, and I won't lie—there was definitely stress wondering if everything would come together in time.

We also brought on our intern Shana and two baristas to help us execute.

The Matcha Bar

The Adobe team built our design concept into a full matcha house with bold striped canopy, clean signage, and a setup that felt like a creative fuel bar. Walking up to it on day one took my breath away. This thing we'd only seen on screen was now real, buzzing with energy and people.

Our setup was simple but intentional: classic matcha lattes only. Hot or iced, made with oat milk, whisked to perfection. No complicated menu, just really, really good matcha.

Then, the chaos began.

Over the one day, we served over 500 matcha lattes. We had a rhythm: one person whisking, one pouring milk, one handing out drinks. It was fast, focused, and honestly exhilarating.

The Reactions

What stuck with me most? The people who kept coming back.

So many people told us it was their first time trying matcha. And they loved it. Like, genuinely loved it. "This is so smooth!" "It's so green!" "Best matcha I've ever had!"

Some came back twice. Some came back three times.

One creator told us, "I didn't think I'd like matcha, but this is incredible." That moment—watching someone discover something they love for the first time—is exactly why we do this.

Multiple people told us our matcha bar had the best vibes and energy of the entire event. That meant the world. Because yes, we care about serving excellent matcha, but we also care about creating an experience. We got to chat with so many creators throughout the day, share our story, talk about design and matcha and the journey of building something from scratch.

A Dream Come True

The co-branded Adobe × Marlo tins will forever be a milestone for us. Seeing our matcha rebadged with Adobe's branding, handed out to 500+ creators, was a dream we didn't even know we were chasing.

Being surrounded by that creative energy, that community of makers and storytellers, reminded me why we started Marlo's Matcha in the first place. Creativity is better when shared. And so is really good matcha.

Let's just say we were not prepared for that level of love. 💚

To everyone who stopped by our booth, tried our matcha, came back for more, and shared the experience with us—thank you. You made that day unforgettable.

Try Marlo's Matcha and taste what 500+ creators couldn't get enough of.
