1. Where is marlo’s matcha grown?
All our matcha is grown and harvested in Japan. Just like wine, the region (terroir) it’s grown in changes the flavor—soil quality, climate and altitude could all make a difference. Each product page tells you exactly where it’s from, so you know the full story in your cup. Consider it your excuse to collect them all.
2. Is matcha good for you?
If you’re frazzled, it calms you. If you’re sluggish, it energizes you. Matcha has that kind of quiet magic. ✨ Plus, it comes loaded with antioxidants, L-Theanine for focus and calm, and slow-release caffeine that keeps things steady. We love an emotionally stable queen.
3. Coffee or matcha?
Obviously matcha! But no shade to coffee, we respect the bean 🫶🏼. Coffee gives you that quick hit of energy, but it can also come with jitters and the classic afternoon crash. Matcha, on the other hand, is more of a slow burn: caffeine paired with L-Theanine means calm focus, steady energy and no rollercoaster.
For perspective:
☕ 1 cup of drip coffee/americano = ~95mg of caffeine (sometimes way more depending on size and strength)
🍵 1 cup of matcha = ~70mg of caffeine, but with L-Theanine to stretch it out and keep things smooth.
So coffee is like a sprint and matcha is like a marathon.
4. How long does matcha stay fresh?
For the best flavour and freshness, we recommend enjoying your matcha within 3 months of opening. Unopened, it will keep for up to 12 months. Please check the best before date on the bottom of your tin.
5. How to store my matcha?
Matcha is sensitive (just like us...). Keep your matcha in an airtight container, away from light, heat and moisture. After opening, store it in a cool, dry place, ideally in the fridge to keep it fresh and happy!
Subscription
1. How does subscription work?
Subscribe and enjoy 10% off every order, delivered once a month.
Your matcha will be sent automatically each month, but you’re always in control — you can skip, pause, or cancel anytime.
To manage your subscription, simply log in to your account and make changes whenever you need.

Shipping & Orders
1. Where do you ship to?
Right now, we ship within the United Kingdom and selected EU countries — with more locations coming soon. If you’re based elsewhere and would love to order, drop us a note at hello@marlosmatcha.co. We’re happy to help arrange delivery if shipping costs and duties are covered.

Please note: For EU customers, customs duties or VAT may apply upon delivery. These charges are not included in your order and are the responsibility of the recipient.
2. What is your shipping policy?
Ordering processing times: We process orders Monday to Friday (excl. holidays). Orders are generally processed within 1 to 3 business days from our warehouse. During high-volume periods, please allow an additional 1 to 3 days.
Order tracking: Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking number by email to follow your delivery on the carrier’s site.
3. How long will shipping take?
For UK addresses, delivery typically takes 2-5 business days after dispatch (location and carrier permitting). Combined with processing, please allow roughly 3–8 business days from the time you place your order. Peak seasons and remote areas may take a little longer.
Changes, Cancellations & Issues
1. What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel, email hello@marlosmatcha.co as soon as possible. If your order has already been confirmed/processed, we’re unable to cancel.
2. Can I edit or add anything to my order?
Once an order is placed, we’re unable to change items. If you need to update your shipping address or contact details, email us immediately after ordering and we’ll do our best to help before it ships.
3. My order was marked “delivered” but it’s not here.
- Check safe places around your property and with neighbours/building management.
- Double-check your shipping address in the confirmation email.
- Occasionally, carriers scan early and the parcel arrives later the same day or within 24 hours. If you still can’t locate it, email hello@marlosmatcha.co and we’ll investigate.
Faulty or damaged items
We’re really sorry! Please email hello@marlosmatcha.co within 7 days of receiving your order, including clear photos and a short description of the issue.
Damages and issues (general)
Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate and resolve it quickly.
