The Best Things Are Shared (in Tokyo) 🍵🏃♀️
This past Sunday, we hosted our first-ever running × matcha event at Matcha Passport — a beloved matcha cafe in the heart of Shimokitazawa, a neighborhood known for its vintage shops, indie bookstores, record stores and charming cafes and bars.
The day started early with a neighborhood run led by our friends at Tempo. Together, we jogged through the morning streets of Shimokitazawa, before looping back to the cafe for some well-deserved iced matcha drinks to cool down, recharge and hang out.
From there, the day unfolded naturally with matcha cups in hand, we made new friends, and our friends made new friends, which is exactly the kind of energy we always hope to create through Marlo’s Matcha. ☺️
The Matcha Passport team kindly welcomed us for a one-day pop-up, featuring an exclusive Marlo’s Matcha Latte on their menu. It’s always such a joy to bring our matcha to life — because as much as we love sharing it online, nothing beats seeing friends and new faces enjoy it in person.
Hearing reactions like
“Wow, this is so good!”
“Mmm, yum!”
“I can’t wait to make this at home!”
…was honestly the best part of the day. We were showered with compliments about our 753 matcha powder and couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support. A huge thank you to everyone who came by, we loved meeting you, chatting and sharing a cup together. Until next time, Tokyo. 💚
