Matcha Gifts for Every Kind of Tea Lover
Buying matcha for someone else can feel tricky. Do they whisk it straight? Do they live on lattes? Do they like trying something new? The good news is there's a matcha for every kind of tea lover. Here's how to choose.
For the latte lover: the 753 & Saya Bundle
If they start the day with a matcha latte, this is the one. The bundle pairs two first harvest matchas from two very different Japanese tea regions.
Saya Matcha comes from Saitama, near Japan's northern tea-growing limit. The cold winters give the leaves a thicker texture and a bold, umami-rich flavour that holds its own against milk. Whether they use dairy, oat or almond, the cup stays creamy and properly matcha-forward.
753 Matcha is our signature, from the misty mountains of Honyama in Shizuoka. It's smooth and gently nutty, with natural sweetness, so it's lovely in a latte but just as good whisked with water. Having both means they can compare the two and find their favourite.

Two-tin bundleTwo first harvest matchas from Shizuoka and Saitama. Smooth, gently nutty 753 and bold, umami-rich Saya, made for comparing side by side or for your daily latte.
For the curious one: the Flavoured Bundle
Some people always order the thing they haven't tried before. For them, the Flavoured Bundle brings together our two naturally flavoured matchas.
Sakura Matcha is first harvest matcha from Gifu, blended with salt-preserved sakura leaf from Shizuoka. It's our nuttiest matcha, with a soft floral aroma and a gently savoury finish.
Yuzu Matcha is made with 100% Okumidori matcha from Kagoshima and pure Japanese yuzu peel. It's clean and bright, with smooth umami and a fresh citrus lift. There's no sugar or artificial flavouring in either, just matcha and the real thing.

For the purist (or a safe bet): 753 Matcha
If they already own a chasen and talk about terroir, give them 753 on its own. It's a single-origin, first harvest ceremonial matcha, grown in Honyama, where mountain mist and big swings between morning and evening temperatures create tea of real depth and fragrance.
It's shade-grown using a traditional two-stage process and made from Asahi, Okumidori and Saemidori cultivars. The result is a smooth, layered cup with rich umami. It's at its best whisked simply with water, where every note comes through.

Still deciding?
Think about how they drink their tea, not just how much they like it. Latte drinkers will love Saya's boldness. Adventurous types will enjoy the flavoured pair. Anyone who drinks matcha straight will appreciate 753. Every tin is designed in-house by our studio, so whichever you choose, it's ready to give.
